"Davenport, the Home of the Famous Holly Groves, is located on the main line of the Atlantic Coast Line Railroad and the Dixie Highway, 181 miles from Jacksonville on the north, and 58 miles from Tampa on the west. Paved highways radiate from Davenport and connect with every part of Florida, providing a through route to the North and the West."
